Fall Self-Care for Busy Moms: From School Drop-Offs to Steamy Showers

by Natalia Akin on Aug 09, 2025

Fall has officially arrived—well, according to my favorite coffee shop’s menu, anyway. For busy moms, the start of autumn often feels less like a slow stroll through colorful leaves and more like an Olympic sprint. Backpacks are packed, permission slips appear out of nowhere, and somehow your kids have grown an entire shoe size overnight.

Between juggling school drop-offs, after-school activities, work,  and your own to-do list, self-care can slip to the bottom of the pile. But here’s the thing—fall is prime time to sneak in small, soul-filling moments that help you recharge.

1. Turn your shower into a leaf-peeping escape

If you can’t get away for a weekend of admiring fall foliage, bring the experience to you. My personal favorite trick? Swap your everyday soap for our Leaf Peepin' bar—a crisp, green apple with notes that smell like a brisk walk through autumn woods (minus the soggy socks). Close your eyes, lather up, and pretend you’re in the green mountain state of Vermont.

2. Spice up your mornings

Long for the days where you celebrated OktoberFest with friends?  Our Pumpkin Ale soap contains real beer powder for extra bubbles and a scent reminiscent of your favorite pumpkin drink and beer garden. It’s got the cozy spice of fall, with just enough sweetness to make your shower feel like the treat it should be. Bonus: it makes your whole bathroom smell like OKtoberFest happiness.

3. Make a mini “me” moment

Self-care doesn’t have to be an all-day spa retreat (though, let’s be real, we’d all take one). Brew your favorite tea, light a candle, and read a few pages of a book you chose—not something about farm animals or superheroes. These little resets add up.

4. Bring the outdoors in

If you can’t escape for a hike, open the windows, let in the cool breeze, and throw on a cozy sweater. Add scents, textures, and little touches around your home that remind you of the season—because your environment plays a huge role in your mood.

Final thought: You don’t need hours of free time to embrace self-care this season—you just need a few intentional moments that make you feel like you again. And if those moments involve soaps that smell like autumn in a bottle? Even better.
