Getting Lost at Mood & Finding The Fabric

by The Weekender Soap Co on Jun 30, 2022

Let me start by saying, I'm exhausted! For a few hours today, I was a kid in my version of a candy store and I'm coming down from a sugar high.  I totally over did it, but Mood Fabrics is official crossed off my must-see list and I have some really colorful, fun prints work with!

I was in New York City for work and planned to spend all of my free time in the storied Garment District.  I think I was a little ambitions in the number of stores I originally planned to visit.  In fact, I knew my list was overly ambitious when I walked into Mood.  Mood is located in a nondescript office building in the middle of the Garment district.  You just might miss it the first time you walk passed.  Yep, I did.  I must have had some tell-tale signs, because the building's security officer in the lobby just said, "Third floor" when I walked on it.  Once on the floor, you quickly are blown away by the sheer size of it all. Mood is three floors of floor-to-ceiling textiles.  It is on everyone's must-go list when looking for fabric because of all of the options, and it did not disappoint!  French Terry, Egyptian cotton, silks.  Oh, the silks!  That light and airy feeling on your skin.  Colorful and bold prints.  I really can't wait to share these fabrics with you!

And did I go overboard?  Yep!  For a while now, I've been thinking of expanding our robe line into a full sleepwear line--I'm working on it!  Although I don't think we're there just yet, it's definitely in my planning.

So not only did I pick up some fabrics to round out our Summer and Fall robes, but I also picked up some extra fabric for sample sleepwear pieces.

I can't wait to share these fabrics and pieces with you!  Excited!!!
